Was nicotine a reason my growth stopped early?

I am 16 and 6'1 (well technically 6'0 since I'm a centimeter or two off) I haven't grown much in the past few months, maybe 1-3 centimeters.
And I think my growth stopped early because of nicotine, I had read somewhere that it causes you to not reach your full height potential. I don't smoke, I used to but I switched to nicotine pouches because I had a pretty bad stamina. But I'm just wondering if nicotine actually stops your growth early.

this study seems to find "delayed skeletal growth" to be more accurate than "lower skeletal growth/FAH"

nicotine itself acts as a mild aromatase inhibitor among other things so this one study mentioning just one of its effects on the body isn't enough to be able to conclude that it does fuck with plates. maybe im just coping though as a nicotine user myself :feelswah:

Maybe a little bit but likely little to no effect

I mean it shows it does fuck with growth. And delaying skeletal growth can make you miss on some height since atone point you just stop growing.

plenty of things (for example accutane) delay skeletal growth/fuck with growth velocity but don't affect FAH

with nicotine it's possible the mild aromatase inhibition keeps your plates open long enough to compensate for a lower gv
nicotine acts on several pathways and it's effects on teens is therefore not very well understood or researched

After you have optimal nutrition, your height ceiling is determined 100% by genetics. Very few people on Earth grow to 190+cm (6'3 or higher).

You are lucky to be 6'1.
