Watched Superman — My Spoiler Free Review

Firstly James Gunn’s Superman is a great time — I recommend everyone to watch and support it

For the pro:

Beautiful cinematography and visuals
Compelling narrative
Woke but well written tie in to real world politics
Anti-capitalist (based)
Some shocking scenes involving Lex Luther
Krypto adds as a fun side character
Overall a very fun movie


For cons:
Superman is a weak bitch boy
Lex Luther is pretty mediocre — no human side shown
Poorly written love interest
Very fast passed — doesn’t allow for too much breathing (iykyk)
Bad reveal at end (no spoilers)

TLDR; Superman is a fun thrill anyone can find enjoyment in

Should’ve been gorier imo — some scenes are a bit tame and boring

Decent emotional impact, Lex is especially cruel this time around — always a blast having him on screen

Overall 8/10 — best superhero movie since endgame imo

I agree but I think superman seeming weak significantly added to the plot, because he wasn’t really weak physically just emotionally which makes sense since he wouldn’t be very emotionally like normal when he’s someone who is just better than everyone
