bro i was staring at my wall at 3am and it hit me how fucked our attention spans actually are
think about it. you find a new hobby, a new genre of music, or even a new aesthetic. you hyper fixate on it for exactly 11 days. you buy the gear, you watch 40 hours of youtube essays on it, you think it is your new personality.
then on day 12? completely dead to you. you get zero dopamine from it. onto the next random thing the algorithm shoves down your throat.
it feels like nobody actually likes anything anymore, we just like the temporary brain chemicals of discovering something new. we are basically dopamine junkies pulling a slot machine lever every time we open an app.
idk maybe i am just fried. anyone else feel like they havent had a genuine, long term hobby since like 2019? or are we all just rotating through the same 4 corporate sponsored hyper fixations until we die?
