sources claim you need 1-1.5gr of protein per kilo, Im not eating that much protein and making good gains in muscle and strenght, last year I was working in construction doing hard labour wasnt eating like that and making progress while training twice per week

Mf is getting like 13% protein 33% carbs and 44% fat

Insane that he's maintaing his muscle mass with that, I suspected he must be getting zero protein cuz all his diet is greens and shit but damn.

The body naturally gets more effecient at using protein the lower your intake is.

This doesn't mean it's ideal. You make marginally better gains all the way up to 2,5g/kg

To add to my previous comment, this is presumably also why he eats such a low protein diet.

When the body needs protein and isn't getting "enough" from food intake it will "cannibalize" dead and dying cells in a process called autophagy, this is useful because dying cells can potentially mutate into cancer or cauas other shit effects on your body.

Additionally protein activates the MTOR pathway which can be seen as the central regulator of lifespan. So if you wanna live long you want that minimally activated to get the health benefits from it.

That macro breakdown adds up to only 90%. Are you sure you didn't mean 43% carbs? 33% is rather low.
My macro breakdown varies. But it's like this (I'm bulking tho)
Protein: 20%
Carbs: 44-59%
Fat: 21-36%
Multiple scientific studies have shown that the muscular hypertrophy benefits of protein max out at 1.8g per kg of bodyweight.

If I were to eat at maintenance then my breakdown is going to be more than 20% calories from protein for sure. And even more than that with a cut.

I have seen scientific studies that show that you will gain more muscle mass and less body fat if your calorie surplus comes from carbs rather than dietary fat. Likely because carbs are the body's preferred fuel source to produce glucose. People on a Keto diet or a very low carb diet use fat to produce glucose. But if your dietary fat is too low, this can cause hormonal and other health problems for you. I also like eating fat with my carbs. Or fatty proteins. Because fat is yummy. My chocolate cookies for example that I have been eating the last couple days for a snack, they are 52% calories from carbs but also 43% calories from fat. As much as I like sugar and carbs, fat is yummy too.

My macro breakdown varies. But it's like this (I'm bulking tho)
Protein: 20%

I'd rather have fatty sausage any day over skinless chicken breast, tuna, egg whites, plain fat-free Greek Yogurt and whey protein powder.

I think they are off with quite a few things. The RDA on many vitamins and minerals would be almost impossible to get daily from just food on 2500 - 3000 calories a day.

But it's actually not really much more expensive than food if you go by the price per gram of protein. I know milk is a cheaper source of protein than whey protein powder. But it's not that fun spending your fat and carb points on something as boring as milk. Even chocolate milk, I love chocolate milk. But not to the point of drinking a gallon of it per day (here in Canada we don't have milk gallons, we have 4L bags).

You have a 17.5 BMI. Blows my mind your back can look like that while being so underweight. You are long over-due for a bulk. I would eat at a 250 calorie surplus immediately and ramp up gradually from there so that you're gaining 2% of your body weight per month.
