I actually compare it to North Korea, Germany was essentially a rogue state

He was head of a revanchist state explicitly forbidden from rearming who attempted to hide his rearmament through fake promissory notes, massive debt and property seizures of conquered countries to pay off said debt.

Germany was militarily inferior to every major power around him and succeeded in conquests sheerly through surprise and the ineptitude/defeatism of French command.

He was explicitly pan-german in the extreme and as someone that isn't German (I'm Anglo) I don't care for him.

It's an interesting period marred by mistakes on all sides, but Hitler was always going to lose the war
