Unfortunately this is one of those few features that is truly genetic and borderline unchangeable. Some surgeries like deep plane necklift or platysmaplasty work AROUND the hyoid bone but they don't actually change its position. The best we've got is bimax (only moves it a few mm, unpredictable, not the main purpose of the surgery) or hyoid suspension (doubt you could get it for purely aesthetic reasons, relapse issues)

We need a true madman who can create a procedure that will ignore all safety and actually permanently re-adjusts the hyoid bone to a higher or even more posterior position. This would be quite literally THE highest ROI surgery in human history. I would be down to pay 100k+ for it

I myself have a low hyoid (it sits just slightly below the upper tip of the C4 vetebrae and is about 14-15mm away from my mandible plane) and it basically completely ruins my chances of ever being average looking, let alone good looking. It is the most fatal flaw a man can have. You will never ever ever ever be decent looking no matter what you do, even if all your other features are model tier

I would rather have a 30mm recessed mandible than have a low hyoid. I would rather be 5'3" than have a low hyoid. I would rather have Marko Jaric-level eye spacing than a low hyoid. I would rather have a 0.85 midface ratio than a low hyoid. I would rather have 1.6 FWHR than a low hyoid. I would rather have Ewan Mitchell's gonial angle than a low hyoid.

If there are any crazy scientists out there, please do whatever it takes. You could save so many people.

I know this is probably impossible, but let me at least mentally masturbate to the idea of this surgery

I guess raiding the hyoid would also raise the tongue and it would not fit in the mouth causing catastrophic breathing issues.

I do wonder what would happen if you injected Botox in the tongue but I’m not gonna be the guy to test that.

Yeah this is pretty much why we don't have anything for this yet. You would finally get that sweet 90 degree submental but breathing, eating, swallowing, talking etc. would become Dark Souls

honestly this thread is mostly just me being dramatic, unless you have an ultra-low hyoid (like it's down at c5/c6 or something) you can usually get an acceptable submental angle through bimax, genio, deep neck lift etc.

True, even PSL gods get a little bit insecure about it
