i dont know the old ones like hidethanks hidepost are fire tbh but i'm pretty sure there are many useful bbcode features you could add to the forum easily.

I imagine a lot of these were being utilized beyond their intended purpose, with the intent to unnecessarily increase engagement. I don't know for sure, this change was made prior to me, so I'm just assuming. I can't imagine users were using hidethanks beyond anything besides engagement bait, to be honest. These kind of features prevents the flow of information from being accessible, which defeat's the site's primary purpose. That's my opinion on it, though.
