Humans run on autopilot, atoms aren’t in your control, your consciousness and will is based on the neurochemicals that function as nothing but a cluster of atoms that control your life.

I believe a genuine discussion on this was made by me, @lnceIs and @81xa in the thread below. Albeit my question wasn’t something I asked from a quantum physics POV but rather philosophical.

But all these days I’ve given it some thought, if you answer this thread above from a quantum physics POV; the fate is already written. The cluster of atoms that form the neurochemcials in your brain that decide your actions aren’t controllable by us. Hence the title, you can observe the thinker but you aren’t him.

In your opinion, who is the observer truly, or the source of observation?

There is no I

I is an illusion made up by matter

Same for Free Will

U are just the universe experiencing itself

Yourself you are both. From a positive redpill philosophical POV you can observe what thoughts are being formed in your head but you aren’t that unless you execute it.

From a deeper philosophical POV, observer doesn’t exist. It’s a thought process formed by the left hemisphere.

I feel with that aspect you have freewill in a way, if that's what you were referencing in the original thread. The fact that you have a choice whether to execute a thought or not suggests free will. Love theses philosophical posts by the way.

Do you think the observer is a soul/something else or just the brain?

I personally don't believe in a soul, I think the observer could be a part of the DMN (Default Mode Network). It's the part of your brain that is responsible for sense of self and thought, largely interconnected with other regions of the brain aswell.

Everything has a cause and your decisions are not the beginning of the causality chain
