We should release prisoners

90% of convicts 50 years and older do not reoffend when they get out compared to 30% of young people who do not reoffend when they get out.

So why are prisons keeping these old people in prison exactly?

Short of child rape and serial/mass killers old people should be released imo.

Now if their IQ is above 130 yes they can contribute.
