At the gym, I occupy the machines longer than necessary.
Especially if someone seems shy, insecure, or obviously less fit than me. I slow down, stare at my phone, or pretend I suddenly have five more sets to go.
When they finally work up the courage and nervously ask if I'm almost done, I don't react at all. Not a glance, not a word. Complete indifference. Why? Because they annoy me. Instead of quietly whining, they could just work harder.
The gym isn't a place to relax. Anyone who goes in there has to deliver. And tbh, weakness bores me. In my opinion, anyone who doesn't push themselves has no business being in the gym.
