I've been doing light to moderate weight lifting for some time for health reasons, even if I don't give af about 'getting ripped' or whatever bullshit, because I spend lots of time sitting and often have sore shoulders and neck as a result. However, lifting never really fixed this much tbh.

However, I recently decided to give the treadmill a try (because I'm an old fart in my mid 30s), starting with brisk walking for 5-15 min and then slowly increasing the speed until I was basically jogging. It was only a 20 min season.

I felt a massive increase in energy level and motivation for the entire rest of the day, and my sore shoulders and neck went away almost instantly. I've been doing this nearly every day for a week or so, and my mental well being, body, soreness, energy and motivation e.g. all feel massively improved. Before this, I'd been doing only lifting exercises, targeting my shoulders, neck, etc, and also some deadlifting albeit with low weight (around 16kg). I'd been doing this for months and it did NOTHING to improve anything.

Just fucking LOL at gymbros with their braindead lifting bullshit that only destroys your joints. I've seen vastly more improvement from even just 1 week of cardio (not even much of it; 15 min per day on the treadmill with moderate intensity) vs all the months and months of lifting weights. My shoulder and neck soreness/pain is almost completely gone and I feel much more motivated and energetic throughout the day. Lifting never did this.

Weight lifting is a bullshit scam tbh. Look at how people are trained in the army e.g. it's all endurance exercises. Nobody gives af about weight training irl.

Lifting doesn't even do anything to build muscle. I know that sounds insane but I did heavy research on this back during my redpiller days (that was like 7-10 years ago, but I was VERY into lifting for a time), and I'm telling you that the entire concept of bodybuilding is essentially a scam. Without steroids, you put on maybe 3-5kg of muscle which is not enough to make any meaningful difference. I legit cage at fat retards who think all their 'gains' are muscle :feelskek:

Unironically, lifting doesn't matter. 90% of bodybuilding gains just come from roids. You can inject and sit on the couch all day and you'd still get buff. The only reason bodybuilders bother with lifting at all is that you still need to lift if you want to maximize the steroid benefits, but that's kinda like putting in 500% more effort for a 10% increase in benefit.

Cope all you want what I'm saying is the brutal truth. Literally the entire gym industry (at least the lifting shit) is build on fake sciences. The idea that building muscle via exercise is a giant pseudoscience that completely ignores how the human body works. Lifting can increase your strength by making the nervous system more resistant to stress and muscles can get denser/stronger, but this by itself doesn't actually increase mass by any notable amount. Why do you think women don't get buff despite lifting? It's because they lack the T levels of men e.g. men are 'naturally roided' even without lifting.

That feeling good doesn’t last unfortunately. I do 6 hours of forced cardio per week and I just feel exhausted and unmotivated.

I hate weight lifting too though, all exercise is shit. Only do it for the results.

You're not supposed to push yourself too hard, or for too long. "No pain no game" is just braindead macho bullshit. 15-20 min of modest intensity per day is fine for most people.

Next you'll tell me that eating healthy is extremely gay too :feelsuhh:

Swim instead, builds and tones you at the same time. I built a ton of muscle just from swimming a lot cause I had nothing better to do

"Just do cardio" Are you retarded?
Just spike your cortisol to increase longevity, what a moron
You are doing exactly opposite.

You don’t train hard enough that’s why u didn’t see progress jfl

Only reason ur seeing progress from cardio is cause it’s new stimulus and most likely promotes good posture as you mentioned you sat a lot :lul:
