My frontal teeth are perfectly aligned, but when my mouth is closed, they are usually 2-3 mm apart. This is my natural frontal teeth distance and it's also inside of the healthy range.
This way, my face looks the best in terms of it's height. However, when in my natural position regarding frontal teeth, my chin is visibly recessed. (my estimate is that I lack around 7mm of projection)
I discovered that if I make my frontal teeth touch eachother, my soft tissue on the chin gets pushed in a way that my recession is invisible. I still lack a bit of chin height but its much better looking. However, when I do this, I look bloated and my face height is a bit too small. My natural and best looking teeth distance remains at 2-3mm apart, but my chin is my problem.
That being said, how do I tell this to my surgeon? My fear is that once I lay down in bed and he puts me under anesthesia my chin recession won't even be visible as my mouth might be closed . Anyone with a similar problem?
