Went to a maxillofacial surgeon, do i DNR his advice?

Had TMD (Temporomandibular Disorder) and went to this maxillofacial surgeon which told me to stop jutting or else i would need surgery on my TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint). I jutt to cope about my skeletal overbite (hence the name), do i DNR what he told me and look like a normal dood, or do i stop jutting and look like a recessed piece of shit
