It’s true. Of course you won’t have a chance if you are convince you won’t. The mind is a powerful thing. You will show in everything you do if you don’t believe you will.

Better to be defeated and full of pride than to be defeated and full of hate and scared

Yep. I explained that to people who clearly live really unhappy lives too. Attributing a negative internal dialog to objectively bad situations creates a congruence that just magnifies how bad you perceive everything to be. And obviously the opposite makes you really happy; creating a positive internal dialog to situations you perceive as good. It's like an accelerator which can improve your perception of life and further yourself as a person to the point where you'll even be able to attribute positive feelings to situations which you would've attributed less positive emotions to earlier in your life, even if the raw situation is the exact same at both points in your life. People who just focus on looksmaxing and compare themselves to tons of other people and train their brain to think in a defeatist way are just perpetuating the magnitude of their own misery. It's hard to be stoic and not let your mind change your perception for the worst due to a few setbacks or a tough ongoing situation. Things can change drastically, but anything in life can only be real so long as one can perceive what "it" is. Personifying the Grelling-Nelson paradox through Telic Recursion is the way to improve your life. Mindset is actually everything. Because without sentience, anything objective in the world no longer has an influence on you. I was about to say mindset is ALMOST everything, but it's not. It is everything. The people comparing themselves to models on here and reinforcing nonsensical bullshit into their minds on a daily basis are just making a big big mistake which is only going to lead them to a live a life where everything gets worse by their own doing. Turn a truecel into a Chad right now and watch how awkward, confused and frustrated he will be. Life would be hard because he'd have an incongruent perception and couldn't identify as that Chad due to the fact that he can't recall past positive experiences which shaped the current perception and identity of the "Chad" who's body and face he now has.

TLDR; a clear, positive mind contribues to a good, happy life

Think of it as filling up numerous glasses of water to the brim. Once you have all glasses full, the glasses get taller and you can pour more water in each. If you overflow one glass before all of them are full; it's over. That's why ugly guys can't act all "low inhib" and expect good things to happen, because they overflow that one glass straight away whilst all the other glasses in their life remain relatively empty. It's just fake. And people can see through things that aren't authentic. Same reason why plastic surgery epply worshipping people also get a rude awakening. They overflow the "looks" glass. But ironically it's not because they became "too good looking". Their mindset on how things work let them down. They believed that being attractive could be maxed out by getting facial surgery, and that the limit for attractiveness is defined linearly as if it's some rat race to the top. But then when they're at their perceived ideation of what the "top" is, they realize their perception was fundamentally messed up. Harmony pill overrides everything.

We might know this (the theory) but practicing it is a whole different story.

Not necessarily talking from my experience but the more fucked up things are, the more unsustainable is to have the right mindset.
In fact, forcing it upon yourself without taking the time to feel, analyze and understand emotions and situations so you can eventually overcome them (be it completely or to certain degree) can prevent you from growing as a human being and give you a sense of insecurity from hings not being solved. You just have to do the impossible not to permanently stay in that phase.

This week I accepted a date with someone, I was treated like a literal king for a few days, to the point that I forgot all my struggles and was just enjoying the moment.
This situation inherently changed my mindset/emotional state, without trying! If I was to attempt to get the same results by creating an internal dialogue with no external stimulation, then I'd have failed, I'd have failed badly (OP is himself a proof). That's why I'm unable to say certain things to someone having a bad time.

I honestly think that having interpersonal relationships is key to our well being and further improvement, it can be a family, friends, someone you could date... the more those factors are present in your life the better, as it just keeps changing how you feel the right way, at some point your life won't be the same, we don't always have access to them tho.

Btw, thanks for all your posts, they are helpfull and interesting :)
