I mean think about it everyone around you is like 5'8 grizzled subhuman skin and dont live very long and one day you saw a dude with clear bronze or shiny white skin who is 2x the size of anyone youve ever seen in terms of perception and looks like they were chiseled out of stone and has a nice symmetric harmonious friendly face. You would assume that person is not the same species as you or is some higher entity/god incarnate
