Were WW2 Japanese soldiers changs? Why do modern young Japanese look weaker in comparison?

Looking through pictures of Japanese soldiers, mostly conscripts, they were mostly this forward brow big cheekbones jaw slayeroid phenotype.

Like here is footage of some Japanese WW2 submarine. Why are they so robust? Compared to WW2 era Whites, who were mostly this long narrow faced pointy type, the Japanese seemed to be majority square and block. Meanwhile, modern day Japanese are oftentimes gracile and more feminine looking. Why is this?

Like compare WW2 Japanese soldiers with WW2 american soldiers. Somehow Japanese soldiers are significantly more masculine looking on average with block faces while WW2 Americans were mostly this long pointy narrow type.

Modern day Japanese people are still sometimes robust but it seems that many have become this oval narrow faced type, which was rarer in older Japanese people somehow.

The jawlines are oftentimes softened now and the gonium reduced. I wonder why modern Japanese are more gracile? Is it due to diet and less exercise?

Chinese people have also gone through some weird ass growth patterns but not really the same way as Japanaese people.

In north China, old people especially farmers are this long narrow faced malnourished type.

Middle aged people to millenials are this squarefaced robust type.

Zoomers are more gracile and narrow looking.

I'm convinced that lifestyle and growth in face is linked somehow. I percieve that western zoomers on the other hand are actually less narrow faced than old white people, who are oftentimes this long narrow face somehow.
