people like Jason Blaha teach that if you manage to somehow hit an certain arbitrary strength standard (often by only training certain muscles and thus losing size elsewhere or by cheating with form) you will automatically be jacked. this is what most Western programs are based on. rational people understand the opposite to be true: quality volume builds size which in turn makes you lift more. Russian and chinese weightlifters prove this.
