Japan is truly one of the greatest cultures ever, up there with Babylon, Afghanistan, Rome, Vikings, Siam, Britain, and Ethiopia.

Sadly all those are completely fucked post 1957, but I'd say Japan, despite falling so hard, is probably faring the best (culturally), of them all.
