The type of earwax you have is determined by a genetic trait called the ABCC11 mutation. This same mutation also plays a role in whether you secrete odor through your apocrine sweat glands, which are responsible for producing odor in areas like your underarms. Essentially, people with functioning ABCC11 gene (vast majority of Caucasians and Africans) usually have wet earwax and body odor. While those with ABCC11 mutation (Northeast Asians, Native Americans) produce dry earwax and no body odor.
JFL if you produce that nasty ass gunk. My earwax (earflakes for a better term) always come out naturally and is super clean. I've never had underarm or body odor in general, and I never had to put on deodorant.
