Lot's of people on here like to throw around the term 'chronic stress' loosely.

Yes, 'chronic stress' can have several impacts on your mental and physical health.

But what does this 'chronic stress' actually mean - is it just worrying thoughts all day or actual unavoiable stress such as a broken household, socio-economic deprivation, lack of food or clean water etc.

Yes, but what does it mean?

Are those who post on reddit r/OCD or something who have worrying or instrusive thoughts all the time. But, they go home to a caring household with adequate nutrition. Is their stress chronic?

being exposed to stress for a long time, ofc fucks up your nervous system. That leads to other health issues like high blood pressure, severe headaches etc. I think most of the Reddit users u addressed to are larping

Ok I get it, seems like me then. Some guy from my old school threatened me with a video of me saying the n-word its over man despite me eating very good and getting good sleep. I feel stressed throughout the day and on edge at most times. Fuck man.

I don’t know about other people, but for me it’s just being stressed over completely dumb shit like regular household tasks and i’m not talking about stuff like exams. It gets to the point when i’m losing lots of hair, biting my nails until blood shows up, and it’s external factors, if we’re talking internal it might be even worse because it makes you insanely unconfined, fucks up you hormones and overall damages your body. Currently searching for ways to lower it by any means because i’m tired of that shit. If anyone has some advice tell me i’ll be happy to hear it

Why are you so stressed about household chores?

I guess it’s just the feeling that something is coming. It’s really stupid and I understand it, but no matter what I think or tell myself it never goes away
