What age is the best time to start looksmaxing seriously

Do you guys think there is a perfect age to start taking self improvement and looksmaxing seriously. I wish I started earlier because I probably wasted years being lazy and arrogant thinking everything would magically change on its own. At the same time some people say teens should just enjoy life instead of obsessing over looks. when did y'all see change

prob like 14 as a freshman in highschool, up until then I honestly don't think it matters too much
