Got a new PC, the existing AIO leaves the CPU running super fucking hot even idling, so I want a new one.
Ideally 240mm so I don't need to mount it to the ceiling where there are already exhaust fans (existing AIO is 240mm, will the difference be negligible in this case?)
Any recommendations?

I think it's more about brand when it comes to water coolers

NZXT Kraken Elite
seems like a good option

Did you build the pc yourself, or is it a prebuilt?

Assuming you built it yourself, did u do it properly? It could be a thermal contact issue rather than the AIO itself. Did you remove the plastic sticker? Did you apply an adequate amount of thermalpaste?

Just know that 7800x3d has a flaw that causes it to have high idle temps because of the way the chip is designed.

Here's what I found based on a quick search. You can read more about it.

That said, if your existing AIO is genuinely dead, my recommendation would be the arctic liquid Freezer III

This was also based on a quick search and a video I skimmed through. Def check them out, they go into more detail

Did u stress test the cpu via Cinebench or any stress testing software? If not, please do that asap!!!

Mogger research.
And no, prebuilt (i.e., custom made/tested for me) PC from Aftershock PC.
If it has high idle temps then I'll just run low fan speed and tank the high temps since it's no big deal.
Cheers brochacho.

What do you mean by “really hot temps”. If it’s constantly throttling with a 240 aio you have fucked something up

this will tell the truth about his aio cooler but i think high end tower cooler is more reliable than aio

Idles at sometimes above 50.
But sits in the 40s for the most part it seems.

No
Aio is for arsthetics only, 7800x3d takes <100w of power
Get peerless assassin 120, or deepcool ag400 if ur poor

Yeah but that's not idling. Right now, with just browsers, my CPU is 53 degrees Celsius with 55% fan speed.
please run cinebench or any kind of heavy game

You're saying AIOs are inferior to air coolers?

I was gonna buy a: "TRYX PANORAMA ARGB 360mm Liquid Cooler - White"

Price/performance wise? Yes. Performance only wise? No. You don’t need aio all the way up to 9900x, it’s a whole different story w intel though

Extremely unnecessary unless bought for aesthetic purposes, it’s not even the best aio also

I'm not price conscious, I just want the lowest temps possible so my fans are quiet without risking the life of my hardware.
What AIO would you say is best then?

The thing is… air coolers have better noise/perfomanse too :lul:
If you want ULTRA quietness get noctua d15 g2
Also send the whole build, PSU’s can have loudass fans, it’s important to get a quiet psu too(when i say quiet i mean it as adjective, not the “be quiet!” brand)
