What am I doing wrong (bs-ing)

So I tried bone smashing and sometimes when I hit the the bone or that area I feel a slight twitch in my face ,for example if I hit zygos I feel area around my eye if I hit the jaw I feel the area around my lower third,I saw some videos saying like oh don't do that I will paralyze your face. is it normal, do I just hit the wrong areas someone help?
