What are the requirements for LL, what is the time difference from consultation to actually getting it?

I believe requirements are to have closed growth plates, aside from that what else?
Also how long does it take from consultation to getting it down

I've seen a couple posts of bad experiences with turkish doctors, so I figure I'll save the money and do it local in the UK

They (USA doctor) do tests on your leg muscles to see if theyre flexible enough or long enough or something to stretch to match with the length of bone that your legs will grow. If they dont then they wont do it(?) idk.

Will gymmaxxing legs help the procedure or make things harder? I'm assuming easier though unsure
