It's fungal acne/ closed comedones.

Try adapalene or other retinoids

You need to increase cellular turnover to fix this

Those are comedones, I used to have a shit ton in my forehead and they resolved with tretinoin.

Someone also mentioned that it could be fungal acne, if that's the case then washing your face with ketoconazole shampoo could help.

I'm not him but probably the fact that it is OTC. It is much easier to just get Adapalene than going out of your way to get a prescription for something stronger or having to buy it illegaly.

The difference between Adapalene and Tretinoin isn't that big anyway. For stronger topical serums then yeah, maybe there's a big gap. But if you were thinking of doing Tretinoin, just settle for Adap., comedones are not that severe.
