Where my father is from, Christmas is traditionally only celebrated discreetly by Christian expats and their families away from much of the public, but they're opening up slowly now, with little bits of Christmas decorations being sold in stores. They'll get gifts here and there.

In other countries, I have been told by acquaintances that Christmas is a huge thing, people of all religions get together, but it's celebrated in early January.
