If I was some kind of antelope and I was getting old and slow I'd be fucking running towards hunters with a target painted on me.
When you have a choice between dying of dehydration in a drout, being eaten by a lion or by a leopard I'll take getting shot any day of the week. I'd be cool with being mounted on someone's wall as a decoration or turned into a rug idgaf I'm dead anyway.

Hunting prey animals in sustainable amounts = good or no worse than buying meat from the grocery store.
Hunting rare/endangered species = bad
