I can't stand them because starting with the first one they began putting fucking comedy in it, ruining the franchise completely. The original star wars trilogy might have had funny moments but it wasn't injected with slapstick bullshit to keep retarded mother fuckers in a theater rolling with collective laughter. The type of laughter that I've always had a hard time imagining would even exist for anybody if they weren't in a room full of other morons laughing as well.

The first one came out the same year that American Pie came out. With that movie the culture in USA radically changed. After American Pie Americans started getting really fucking stupid, having to inject bullshit humor into every interaction. The type of humor that you're supposed to laugh at but isn't really funny if and when you think about it. Tiring useless humor.

The trajectory that movies like these put America on, culturally speaking, is the reason why Tucker Carlson's interview with Vladimir Putin turned out to be a complete falure. It's also one of the big reasons why I cannot stand to live in USA.
