He has bimaxillary protrusion, common for blacks. His nose angle upwards is way too big. Thats actually a good example of too much CCW rotation of the maxilla.

It doesnt look too bad, nowhere near as bad as a recessed and melted down maxilla, but its not the ideal maxillary rotation. Its basically too much.

Also because of too much CCW (upwards) rotation of the maxilla, his nose bridge around the eye level is too short, its basically pressed inside the skull because of too much rotation upwards. It looks like a nose bridge of an asian almost. (but only at the eye level)

His philtrum starts so close to the tip of his nose too which is very unaesthetic and makes a lot of these issue look worse

thanks for the response, so what procedure would you reccommend he get done for his maxilla alone? why wouldn't genioplasty work?

Its something that is hard to fix, plus the effect of it would be questionable in terms of how much it will improve his appearance. It doesnt make alot of sense to cut a persons face and bone and butcher around in the face if its only gonna give a 0.4 psl increase (or so).

But on the other side- it doesnt look ugly or appaling or anything like that. The only thing about this profile is that it looks very child-like with that big nose angle upwards.

Now on the second look, it seems like he also might have some form of overbite, but not because his lower jaw is recessed or suboptimally positioned (which is the most common reason for an overbite), in his case he might have the rare case of overbite, because his maxilla is rotated upwards (counter clockwise) too much, and so the bottom teeth cant reach the top teeth properly.

The ideal fix here would be clock-wise rotation (downwards) of the maxilla. But again, the procedure isnt really worth here as it would only looksmax him by like 0.5 psl or so (if at all). It would be a very small improvement in his case, the surgery wouldnt be worth it to have your face cut up for such a small improvement.
