if corner lip lift is generally advised against in young patients due to high likelyhood of poor scarring
i already underwent a standard lip lift with a subnasal approach, but obviously if you only lift the center portion of the lip it creates a more triangular mouth shape, while making downturned mouth corners even more prominent
every other method seems like cope

it looks good and not uncanny, the issue is the scarring. younger people have high likelihood of bad scars

Yeahh that could be fuckkedd if it goes badly. The scar should be like a milimeter thick or smt right, so it shouldn’t be thattt bad

lol no it can stretch and look horrendous when it goes wrong, a small discolored 1mm scar is the ideal result

yeah that makes sense thatd be horrible then. Would u advise against a liplift done before a bimax or one done during or before a rhinoplasty, or should it ideally be after everything by a bit

subnasal lip lift has a smaller risk of poor scarring, it's the best way to reduce philtrum but you still need to lift the corners in most people. ideally after jaw surgery but i imagine it doesn't matter that much

Makes sense, was just wondering cause a rhino affects the area in which it’s scarred so i was aftaid id have to wait 6 months them 6 months then another 6 months but thats not too bad. Agreed tho corners are so brutal. If my corners were close to the height of the middle of my philtrum id have mogger lips. I heard @lurking truecel talk abt a really good liplift surgeon in turkey that has a really good technique tho but idk

do you only need the corners done? i imagine its an easier recovery than subnasal but also has less predictable aesthetic outcome. it's very scary for such a simple procedure. unless the surgeon uses a specific technique to avoid scarring i think it doesn't matter who you go to

Yeah i mean i could get a bit more height on the middle but my lips are so weird it’s like theyre tucked in on the sides which really hurts my lip to nose ratio. Though i have alot of lip flesh underneath. Like if it got pulled up id have really fire lips. Ig for smt this nuanced i gt find the perf surgeon brooal

Scars are a meme.
Most scars can be treated very well.
Just do corner lipp lift or ideally both commisuro and also upturned

no you're wrong scars can be very hard or impossible to treat especially at the mouth corners

Ask that my surgeon when surgery happens.
Surgeons in austria are best but timetable and communication is dogpoo

explain why you think I'm wrong
you can't just get it microneedled or lasered off, you'd need revision surgery

Laser removal?
Scar revision
Micro needeling
Many techniques exist to treat.
I asked my surgeon about it and she was also against doing it but i was sure she would do it if i insisted.
They just dont like it cause you as a patient have then to do the scar removal.

i just think it wouldn't be very effective. i had 2 rounds of ipl and co2 for my lip lift scar, it helped but it's still there 9 months post op. i think with mouth corners it would only be more noticeable, i think it's a big risk

I mean i am gonna be honest.
I would just buy s laser myself. For hair removal and scar removal.
Co2 is different.
But i think you need like 5-10 rounds for it to completly disapear.

my main concern is how the lip corner scars would react to these treatments, both microneedling and laser, because there's both red lip and regular skin portion I'm afraid it could make the scarring even worse, it sounds more complex to do than just under the nose

Microneedeling is save on lipps. When inwas 12 i was inside a fistfight where my head got thrown to a heater leading my lipp to be split open leaving a scar.
After microneedeling and brushing my lipps regularly its gone.
I do that at home. Cant comment on laser or co2 since i dont have these at home yet.
