it's ggs.
you either get damon braces to fix that overjet.
or, you can get a genioplasty to get the chin projection you want. getting rid of that recessed look on your face.
tbh, you should only get the braces. your chin is average. it's just that your mandible is short and isn't in proportion with the apparent position of the maxilla.

Braces should be your first priority, looks like someone played bowling in your mouth. Then probably an expander which will maybe help the downgrowth. I’m pretty sure there are Herbst appliances even for closed plates but you’ll have to ask your dentist. For the braces go w Invisalign or Damon braces and if your orthopedic say something different then immediately switch dentists

Don’t have a narrow palate, braces will make the palate look expanded enough

what do you need help with?

I’ve been to 4 consultations alr, I was just looking for someone to give me herbst appliance but I figured out I was alr too past my growth spurt. And also there’s no such things as past growth herbst appliance because the herbst appliance literally co exists with growth, that’s how it works. But the main question is I could just get on Damon system braces within the next week with class II elastics but do you guys think that’s the best option?

since jaw growth is finished, your orthodontist might be pivoting to a strategy called orthodontic camouflage. instead of modifying the bone, they are using the teeth to mask the underlying jaw discrepancy. (stuff like braces.)

in this context, damon braces combined with class II elastics is a very standard, highly effective "best" approach, provided you understand how the mechanics change for an adult or older teen. (so yeah, it can work out.)

don't take my words too seriously though, i'm not an orthodonist. LOL.

I am aware of camouflage hiding skeletal discrepancies. My thoughts is just fixing my smile and teeth atleast will be the most I can do for now tho

The sad thing is if my mandible wasn’t raped I have very good chin projection

W pfp btw, yeah braces r the first move. I’d get an self paid expander

No orthdontics will ever fix ur chin recession, because orthodontic devices only affect the aleover bone, so it can be helpful for pre maxillary at best, otherwise its all cope, ur aim should be to achieve t1 smile and fix ur pre maxilla if u have any issues, cus thts all u can do
