I definitely suffer from this. My parents and specifically my mom always taught me to have really good manners, say please and thank you, respect your elders, hold doors open, etc etc.

I cannot shake this way of being and it definitely fucks up my chances with women no doubt. Do any of u guys suffer from just being overly polite or nice? What do you think caused it? Can you shake this deeply embedded way of being?

if you value yourself and have options you can be virtuous and kind, but others know not to fuck with you. It all comes down to how you treat others when they treat you unfairly. Be as kind as you want, but you NEED to have a side of you which makes people fear crossing you.

do kind things because you are a kind person, not because you are submissive and scared of others. You need to let other people know your actions are because you have good characters, not because you are submissive.

try this: next time someone asks you to do something, add a condition to it. Make them know you are in charge and calling the shots.
