What causes this issue, I have the exact same issue and planning for bimax soon. Is it recessed maxilla that causes this issue?

I had camouflage braces as kid while my mandible and chin are recessed but im not sure if my maxilla is recessed too.

thanks bro, but fucking hell i think i can easily move my mandible without chimp maxxing but my upper maxxila will get chimpmaxxed if i move it rn, i think with fixing it with braces and my overjetted flared out front teeth i will be actually look good from side if i get genio, how many mm do you think i will need to fix this for upper jaw alone 5mm? my mandible is the one thats really recessed
