What changed 1 year apart

I don’t think I noticeably look much different ,these photos where taken one year apart and last year i don’t know what it was maybe i didn’t have enough confidence but i had 0 luck with girls, this year ive had much more luck than last year my kiss count entering the school year was 0 and now 3 months in its 4, what the reason, are girls noticing me more?
