What college major is best for a young guy.

I'm 20 soon and finished all core classes and conflicted on majors.

I'm in a community college too so the majors aren't all there.

Need something that makes good money to provide for my parents and be independent.

Yeah basically that's what I'm avoiding.

I like CS but that shit is hard and I quit due to the math's being complex.

So that's why I'm looking for suggestions here.

for me, i fucking HATE cs. i love software engineering though and thats what i want to do (and have wanted to since like 13)
cs is a shit major that is over inflated with people thinking it’s easy money

What ever you do, I would recommend not going into something that takes years to complete like a PhD.

I was going to go down the MD route (I was studying for the MCAT) but realized how fucking long it would take to actually become a doctor.

Now I’m going down a tech career that’s faster in terms of completion and money.

It depends on your base skills and life aspirations, please be realistic with yourself and what your qualifications are. In all most all cases the best answer is an engineering degree, highest pay with the lowest unemployment rates, but engineering majors are very demanding for most people.

What kind of lifestyle do you see yourself living in the future? Do you like active work and challenges? Or do you like relaxed work tackling less cognitively demanding and time sensitive issues? Do you want a very high salary? Are you willing to put in the years of study for it?
