I think when talking about the concept of 'manliness' there are a lot of factors that influence how we consider and what we consider to be 'manly'.
For example, I believe that there's a biologically ingrained concept of manliness. One that even in the stone age people understood. If we are going to talk about something like that I don't know if it will apply to our world rn in the way we expect. I think it would be a combination of having a face that has a lot of short term attractivness to females, and is very dimorphic so that it commands respects from males. And also being very physically strong to be able to protect your tribe or family from animals and other people.

But right now the concept of being manly is very different. IMO if you want to know what is percieved as being manly right now we have to look at characters in shows and movies that are stereotyped as 'too manly'. Like Clint Eastwood, the dude from the spartan movie, a bunch of characters that The Rock plays.

I think right now, the 'manliest' people are the most badass. Basically once you pass a certain threshold for looks and height and voice and strength it unironically becomes about personality traits. Being a leader or a lone wolf, "not giving a fuck" and stuff like that.
