What do I ask my ortho for?

My maxxilla is very recessed. I have a ortho appointment next month. What do I ask for and how do I make sure I get it? I’m worried he is gonna be like “Nah bro you are nice a healthy.” Anything I can fake like sleep apnea or somthing?

Yeah, I have nasolabial folds and dark circles. My tongue always feels cramped, and it feels like it has to shift back into my throat. I also bite my tongue a lot. I have to mouth-breathe after about 25–75 breaths through my nose, and I often wake up with a dry mouth.

There also many other different type of palate expanders you can get, you will likely not get marpe, ask for it if you want

Both, im not saying listen to TikTok but there is a guy on TikTok doing both. Marpe or other forms of palate expanders for vertical maxillary growth (tongue) and reverse pull face mask for foward growth of the maxilla. The guy on TikTok is kaleb.marpe. You are going to suffer while using these, you have to wear the face mask while going out, going to sleep idk if marpe or other palate expanders are painful but its the pain you are willing to take to improve your looks ig

Yeah I might ask for both then. Ive heard marpe is not that bad in pain. I wouldnt really mind the headgear tbh. I dont go outside except school.
