Need Damon braces, went into ortho to get a consultation and they said American empower 2 braces, they use self ligating brackets as well but are a bit different, I have a class 2 deep bite so they want to put class ii elastics in pretty sure but I heard that those give you downward growth what do I do??

Yeah but is it even possible to fix my problems without causing some type of maxilla recession/downward growth or anything

Idk how clear the science is but why don't you just wait until 25 years old so you can do braces without it effecting the jaw as much.

Buddy it’s not about straight teeth, it’s about fixing my bite, I have a severe deep bite

Yeah usually braces don't cause severe downward growth also make sure they preserve your airway I would probably go to a few different providers and see just make sure if you do it hard mew 24/7 I had braces and it didn't ruin my forward growth to much just mew mouth tape during it I know it sounds stupid but it actually works
