Boomers and older gen xers typically hate their kids, theyre the generation that started making shitty parenting the norm

To me this has several causes, one of them is that boomers generation was the first to undergo consistent retirement age increases. So when their kids became economically active adults their parents were still working a lot and would for a long time, therefore they were competitors in the market thus increasing the baseline generational rivalry.

It isnt that the Older Generation dislike their kids or make poor parenting decisions but rather that many
of the younger Generation are ungrateful and entitled believing they deserve this or that thing whereas
the older generation were given their reality checks at an early age in life which caused them to mature
and develop better character than their successors who grew up in the age of Instant Gratification and
Technology conditioning them to become spoiled and entitled brats.

Data shows otherwise. Boomers grew up with considerably lower income and net worth inequality and more salary buying power even when they entered the job market

Shiny Internet gadgets are nice but struggling to buy food, pay bills and having where to live outweights them by far

Weird that someone would ask what he planned to do with his money after he died. Even weirder that he answered the question, most people would simply say 'none of your business'. That suggests to me there is some public drama around his son/daughter that I don't know about and might be relevant to the topic. Obviously if you son/daughter is murderer or similar it is fine not to leave them any money. Also consider the possibility this all about virtue signaling and status.
