If you niggas don't know. There's an internal debate going on in high end sports car market. For decades the engines powering these supercars has been a big bulky v12 or w12 engines

But now enter the electric era. Now you have big powerful electric motors that deliver power almost instantaneously. Also clean, environmentally friendly and easy to manufacture also a huge performance advantage especially if you have turbochargers but it requires a smaller engines to make room for electric motors

For decades now the ultimate supercar had to have a massive, loud V12 or V8 engine minimum. It was a status symbol to have that loud humming v12 that sounds like a jet engine

But because of modern environmental laws and the push for better performance, car companies are forcing supercars to downsize. They are swapping out those legendary, heavy V12 engines for smaller, lighter V6 Hybrid setups. Ferrari, McLaren, and even Formula 1 racing cars now use V6 hybrids.

V6 is nice but V12 is another level. Especially ones from Mid 90's to 2020's

where is my tag

Since this is in my line of work ill say why its one of the worst things to ever happen.

A sports car in the purest form is a light weight, manual, great handling car
electric cars can't possibly fulfill these requirements until battery tech allows for comparable weights to modern engines

Most people think Horsepower = Fun. But some of the most appreciated enthusiast vehicles of all time aren't even
that fast. (Lotus any model, Mazda Miata, Porsche GT cars, Ferrari 458) by modern standards these are
slow pieces of shit but they are the most fun to drive for an enthusiast.

Engine weight being an issue isn't even true in modern times. THE BEST CAR EVER made in 2025
the gordon murray t.50 (successor to mclaren f1) has a v12 weighing in at 392 pounds.
