I’m not suggesting a chocolate cake only diet, I was just using it as an example to show you that the only part of a diet that helps you burn fat is the calorie deficit.

If you greatly limit your carbohydrate intake you will grow less muscle, as your motor unit recruitment would be reduced; this would mean less mechanical tension and less stimuli for growth

You don’t have to eat crap to get carbs, you can still eat naturally: honey, milk and fruit are all healthy options
