In my opinion, it’s cope
yes to me it would make sense if people fear death the easiest solution is to create the idea of a after life

i don’t think a god exists, but religion mostly keeps people within traditional, “good” societal morality, and helps one cope.

Religion itself is a coping mechanism because they never had the science to be knowledgeable around they’re surroundings and why they were here. They questioned why it rained and shi so they inevitably created something to cope with they’re thoughts

A Iranian kid goes out and tells the others, “Allah is the one true god”;

A German kid goes out and tells the others “Jesus is the one true god”;

A Israeli kid goes out and tells the others “Hashem is the one true god”;

The religion you believe in is SOLEY dependant on what your parents believe in and where you live.

In other words, pure copium.

its something the jews came up with so they can control us,
Eh- not associated with Jews that just some hate, most religions started from a narcissistic kid who wanted to feel powerful, and died too early and slightly symbolic so the legacy could carry on, with too much mystery to prove wrong

nobody knows
maybe scientifically but consciousness is thinking, willing and feeling. We all feel and instinctually know that God/ a spiritual plane exists

Another “God of the gaps” argument; just because science cant explain a phenomenon doesnt mean its a work of God

such a dumb reddit argument, this doesnt determine the truth factor of each religion and if each religion is wrong that doesnt determine that God doesnt exist

i never said that, science is the study of the natural world. Material things can be measured observed and tested, immaterial otherworldly things can not, so it doesn't make sense to use science to prove or disprove God. God inherently is not of this world

But what’s the point in believing in any of them dumbass fag? Most religions say you can’t believe in another, so you’re likely wasting your time. If god did exist, it’s be some gatekept shit you find in the caves of Africa

It isnt an argument, just a pill that religioncels need to swallow.

You didnt choose your religion. There was no choice. Religious people always say that “god is giving you a choice”, but the choice was never fair.

Lets say the Christian god is the one true god, if you are born in Vatican City, your playing life on easy mode, 99% chance you go to heaven.

However, if you are born in Afganistan, theres a 0% chance you to to heaven, you are playing life on ultra-nightmare mode.

Basically, you going to heaven or not is already determined when you are born.
Life isnt fair, gods system isnt fair.

If you see any holes in this feel free to respond.

im catholic because i believe in christ and i believe in christ because i did schizo freemasonry/elite research a few years ago. I think the point of believing in God is to shape your paradigm of reality, your life matters, its good vs evil. I believe life is about discovering God and your self, as well as becoming your self, Its a continual process of transmuting your lower inner traits into higher traits eg anger into courage, desire into devotion etc.

i chose my religion i was born in the western world in a muslim household became an athiest and then became catholic. Also God is a being with infinity wisdom he accounts for everything in the judgement, if someone has a harder life he will obviously account for that, also the world is a place of free will God didnt determine the state of the world or if your parents were muslim, it's the consequence of generations of free will from your ancestors.

Good on you for being flexible with your beliefs, though there have been many studies done on this and the vast majority of people will be the religion they were born into.

Again, this line of reasoning is not an argument against god.

God has infinite wisdom, he will obviously see I have been a good person even though I am religious, and that it is immoral to sentence a person to eternal torture forever no matter what they did, so essentially I have nothing to worry about :)

i personally think the belief in God isn't important for God it's important so you can start the process of individuation. Im sure you can go to heaven and be forgiven despite not believing even though it's not a guarantee but i think it would be a shame to live life not becoming who you could have been.

What’s the guarantee Christianity is the “true religion” out of all of them? And “thinking” god will let you in isn’t accurate, most religions do not support the idea.
