However, as a rule of thumb: your purpose must be so big that you won't be able to fulfill it within your lifetime(greater than life) — and, in my view, the byproduct of every great purpose is an extremely massive legacy behind (an ideology, a project, a conquest, knowledge, history, maybe you helped millions of people, etc.).

Thus, the purpose of life is to achieve some extraordinary goal and leave legacy. Legacy = The echo of your purpose after you're dead.

Look at Elon Mask, Alexander the Great, Carl Marx, Newton.
