What do you use for clean shave without razor bumps?

i like my face smooth and without any beard fuzz, but extremely sensitive after shaving against the grain especially in the lower neck region and around mouth. Sometimes it's really bad and sometimes i don't even get the irritation. I have tried every razor option (Safety razor, 2,3, and 5 blade razors) Rn the best one is 3 blade razor from BIC, i use it with Gillete shaving gel for sensitive skin and Nivea Men shaving balm against irritation and before that i ice my skin. Do you have any tips or product recommendation that saved your skin?

P.S i don't plan on buying Phillips One Blade since my beard grows fast and it doesn't shave it as clean as normal razors, also the shave lasts a day only with it.

I don't even get razor bumps tbh I just clean shave every time I get hair on pedostache

Pre-shave ritual is really the most important thing here. Also, if you use disposable razors, just give up.
I use a safety razor with multiple settings.

Depending on the length of your facial hair , you probably want to trim it to something manageable first, so an electric trimmer is a must have if you can actually grow a beard.
Following that, you want to moisten and heat the hairs, either by taking a shower(preferred) or warming up a hot towel beforehand. Lather up with shaving cream and shave with the grain on the first pass until you have covered the whole face. Use a fresh razor/fresh side of the razor.
Following this, re-apply shaving cream and make a second pass going across the grain. You can quit here and get most of the results and minimize risk of razor bumps, but if you want a really clean shave, get another razor blade, re-apply shaving cream, and go for a third pass against the grain. Here I might even take a second to re-wet/heat my face.

If you shave properly it will not be fast. This is not some shit you do on a hectic morning. If you have a limited time, just use a trimmer at the lowest setting and be done with it.

i do all of that as a prep which makes it even more annoying that im getting these razor bumps, also i heard that shaving gel is better for skin (preferably in tubes)

I see. I'm not sure what more you could do to work around this. Gel might be a better option due to less friction. May have to do more research on that. I personally use a plain shaving cream

my bad, i misread that you were using shaving foam which is worse option. Cream is probably the best option

Do you by any chance know if using retinoids like adapalene affect redness and razor bumps since they tend to be harsh on the skin barrier?
