if no one replies to your thread, then it eventually goes to page 2 and is never responded to, dying

if you self-reply or reply to a thread, it gets pushed/bumped to the front of the forum

so whenever people have nothing to say, they just say bump to move it up

It just means that when nobody responded to your thread, you “bump” it so it gets at the top when you click the subject you chose for example offtopic, looksmaxxing questions, etc
