I started taking isotretinoin about two or three months ago, starting with a dose of 32 mg (16 mg in the morning and 16 mg in the evening). My weight is 80kg, so it is small dosage. At first, my skin became extremely dry, and my lips were very dry as well. I reduced the dose to 16 mg and stayed on it for about a month.
Now I have been back on 32 mg for two weeks, and my skin is not getting dry at all, with only minimal dryness on my lips. I don’t even moisturize my skin every day, whereas before, if I skipped moisturizing for even one day, my skin would start peeling badly.
Would it be okay for me to increase the dose to 48/64 mg, or would it be better to wait? Additionally, I’m taking omega-3 along with it, and currently I’m not using anything else for my skin besides moisturizer.
My skin has improved a lot, but it is still far from being completely clear.
