what even are nasolabial folds?

What is really going on with your face when you get them? What even causes them? why are they not really reversible? pretty lost on the subject tbh

Not 100% sure but mostly underdevelopment of maxilla and jaws. Bimax sometimes helps with with nasolabial folds.

Fat folds on the side of the nose to the corners of the mouth, they appear when you smile
In some people they appear all the time- the causes might include a recessed maxilla or too much local fat storage due to genetics (coupled with a slightly recessed maxilla)
They also come with age and due to sagging of the skin
