its good, grow it out longer and start using a small of leave in conditioner (very little just for basic hydration ) make sure you rake it evenly through your hair, then grab a small amount of gel and rake and scrunch it through your hair, to keep it defined and good looking. mabye brush style it, continue to grow it though, also get a silk pillowcase if you dont already have one, mark as solution, i can further help you in pms if you need.
