They break your bones for like 3 inches of height, you go through extreme amounts of pain and mobility issues and you can probably never play sport again

I've said this many times, leg lengthening surgery isn't worth all the issues that come with it.

Put on some lifts if you're insecure and move on with your life. Yeah sure tall guys do better at dating but short guys can still do good enough

Just curious how would you define high standards? My only standard physically is don't be fat. I don't remember the last time I saw a young women that was near ideal bodyfat % that I didn't find attractive. I'm at 10-14% range with a above average physique so I think its fair.
