I want to start off by saying i'm making this thread because I see people commonly misinterpret and mistake what "Hypergamy" actually means and throw the word around in any context.

The statement "this girl is so hypergamous" or "that foid was so hypergamous bro" makes 0 logical sense considering ALL women are biologically hypergamous.

They have all been hypergamous since the beginning of time it's how they would seek the best fit to reproduce as a means of survival for their offspring. Whether it be a genetic advantage (taller, bigger, wider, stronger, symmetrical) or status or internal value traits.

They're literally hardwired to be hypergamous for their own survival and people will just throw around the term only in the context of looks.

hypergamy isn't also only correlated to your looks it's a FEELING she has as well based on her perception of your dating market value and SMV as a whole.

Also want to state that I am in no way defending women and their nonsensical behavior, They all operate off of emotions and what their feelings tell them to. I'm only making it clear what hypergamy actually is and means.

If we're going by the classical definition, it's their tendency to mate across and up socioeconomic status. That's it. It was never specifically about looks. However, I guess you can include looks in the status component of socioeconomic status, since better looking, taller, bigger men are usually perceived as higher status in the social hierarchy.

That said, men are no different. Men are in a way "hypergamous" as well. It's just they only care about looks. A woman's looks IS her status after all, the rest rarely matter . And every man wants the best looking one in an ideal world where there is no constaint of choice.
